Individual Yoga Menu
Power Yoga 2 hrs
Power yoga stems from astanga yoga, but allows a wider range of postures (asanas) and is adaptable to all levels of fitness, of flexibility, of strength. Both styles build body awareness, body balancing, observable muscular-control, meditation, self-reflection, breathing techniques and an awareness of the foundation of life.
Astanga Yoga 1 hr 30 mins
The feature that distinguishes astanga yoga from the other forms of yoga is its unique movement / breathing system, or vinyasa. Movement through the sequence of poses (asanas) is responsible for producing heat, which in turn, produces sweat. The sweat is both cleansing and purifying. As students progress more deeply into the practice, toxins held in the deeper layers of music tissue and internal organs are also released..
The power of the breath is the key to this system of yoga. It draws the mind in on itself and, in so doing, yolks mind and body together. It is the breath, the lock of the energy centers (bandhas), and the eye focus (dristi) that, when applied together, bring about the physical and the meditative aspects of astanga yoga. The practice itself becomes a dynamic meditation.
Vinyasa Yoga 1 hr 30 mins Vinyasa Yoga stems from astanga yoga, but allows a wider range of postured (asanas) and is adaptable to all levels of fitness, of strength. Both style build body awareness, body balancing, observable muscular-control, meditation, self-reflection, breathing techiques and an awareness of the foundation of life.
Hatha Yoga & lyenga Yoga 1 hr
Hatha yoga is a general term meaning among others “sun-moon” union or “right-left” union, ect. Evoking the balance between yin and yang in our body and mind. It’s the health-orientated part of Yoga. It comprises asanas (postures), pranayama (breath control) and medtitation. The frist two (asanas and pranayama) create heat that burns the deep-rooted toxins, and movement brings them to the blood stream and into sweat thus eliminating them. The body becomes purified. Meditation brings peace of mind at least.
Tai Chi 1 hr
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise that incorporates movements of the body in a flowing co-ordination with the mind and the breath. It is used to not only keep the body supple, toned and balanced, but also to tech the mind to become tranqil. During the class, one must gather their bodies’ chi and use this to penetrate the entire body, by developing that chi into spirit. The whole routine needs years of supervised instruction from a master to become proficient. However, if you are learning Tai Chi for general health and well being, practicing some simple Tai Chi forms repeatedly will be enough. So why not join our class to get you started?
