HuaHin lies 200 kilometres to the southwest of Bangkok. Here, in the early 20th century that King Rama VII built his summer palace, creating a trend amongst Thailand's high society to choose HuaHin for their homes. Our present Royal Family resides at HuaHin for a part of each year.
Hua Hin Elephant Village: The Elephant Village is just 2.5 km from HuaHin. To visit the village and be amazed by the gentle intelligence of the elephants find your way to Petchkasem Road, pass Chatchai Market then turn into HuaHin Nongphlap Road.
The village is embraced by mountains, forest and watercourse. Here you can feed the elephants, go on an elephant trek and watch the elephant dance, play football and play music. The same journey will take you to Pala-U Waterfall.
Pa La-u Waterfall: The beautiful Pa la-u waterfall is located 63 kms from HuaHin in verdant evergreen forest. Spanning 11 tiers of rocks, the waterfall can be reached by a trekking trail that runs parallet to the stream.. To visit the waterfall visitors may travel by local transport from HuaHin. To see the great diversity of birds and butterflies, it is best to visit in the morning.
